Accountancy firm Cowgill Holloway has strengthened its team with ten new additions to the tax, corporate finance, outsourcing, wealth management, audit and compliance departments. Having enhanced its regional offering by opening a Manchester city centre office last year, Cowgill Holloway now has over 140 employees, including 13 partners.
Cowgill Holloway provides accountancy and business advisory services to owner-managed businesses, specialising in corporate finance, tax, wealth planning and business recovery. With an annual fee income of £7.34 million in 2007, Cowgill Holloway is ranked 15th in North West Business Insider's league table of accountancy firms and 11th by Crain's Manchester Business.
Commenting on the new appointments, Cowgill Holloway's managing partner, Paul Stansfield, said: "Our recent growth demonstrates that, even when general market conditions are tough, there is still a large demand for advisory services for North West owner-managed businesses that means we need to expand. We are confident that all the new recruits will be valuable additions to our team."
Among the new recruits are Gary Scully, who has joined the tax team as VAT consultant, from Ernst and Young. Abdo Drrah joins Cowgill Holloway's audit and compliance team as audit senior, from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Cowgill Holloway was founded in 1983 by Peter Cowgill, who is also executive chairman of JD Sports.
