We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) to join our Audit and advisory department as a Senior Executive. The vacancy has arisen due to a period of growth over the last 12 months, and we’re looking to bring in additional resources to support this growth.
Location: Bolton or Manchester. A choice of base between the two, including our new offices in Spinningfields
Salary/Rate: Competitive market rate (based upon experience)
Your new role
The Senior Executive will take lead on a range of assignments, and will interact with clients on a regular basis. You must be comfortable communicating technical and non-technical issues alongside the relevant Manager and Partner, and will be involved regularly in finalisation meetings.
Relevant technical audit experience is assumed and the firm expect the individual to take the lead on audit assignments from planning, supervising and controlling the fieldwork through to finalisation. The audit clients range in size and cover a wide variety of sectors.
We pride ourselves in providing commercial and technical feedback to clients which sets us apart from our competitors. Senior Executives consequently need to have a good knowledge of corporate tax, commercial issues and financial reporting matters in addition to a strong audit background.
As a firm, we invest heavily in our team, to ensure our audit seniors become the key point of contact for clients, and gain autonomy and client relationships from the outset.
You will be dealing with a selection of very well established, leading businesses from across the region and further afield. We take an entrepreneurial approach to our business, and to our clients’ business, and this enables our team to gain significant experience from the very start.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year’s post qualification experience and most importantly a desire to succeed and progress within the organisation. Both ACA or ACCA qualifications will be considered, and the candidate will have trained in a general practice role and benefited from exposure to a diverse range of clients.
