Award-winning managed technology provider sold to Daisy Communications
Cowgills corporate finance team has advised Communicate Better, the Warrington-based provider of IT, Mobile, Telephony and Telematics on the sale of its business to Daisy Communications.
Having worked with the shareholders for many years, Cowgills partner Ian Johnson and director James Kennedy, together with Keith Kennedy, partner at Pearson Legal, completed the sale for an undisclosed sum this week. The acquisition by Nelson-based Daisy Communications will create significant opportunity for Communicate Better to continue its strong growth trajectory.
Commenting on the sale James Kennedy said: “Communicate Better has a strong track record of successfully acquiring and integrating businesses which have helped them to expand their service offering, increase customer numbers and improve cross-selling opportunities. We’ve worked with the shareholders for many years and have advised on multiple acquisitions, most recently the acquisition of Staveley Communications last year. The shareholders’ unique vision and collective experience in the telecoms sector has underpinned the hugely successful journey, and we are proud to have supported them and the team to achieve this sale.”
Wayne Cartwright, CEO at Communicate Better added: “I’ve been at the helm of Communicate Better for over 12 years now and we’ve come a long way to make the company the success it is during this time. Now is the right time for me to step aside and hand the reins over to Daisy Communications in the knowledge that the staff and customers are in very trusted and capable hands. I’d like to thank everyone involved in the journey and to Cowgills for their continued advice and guidance in helping to build the business over so many years.”
The acquisition of Communicate Better brings together two businesses which share a vision of delivering creative, cutting-edge, integrated, end-to-end business solutions, providing a strong, competitive advantage in the market. Communicate Better’s telematic offering further strengthens and diversifies Daisy’s portfolio, supporting its business users and helping the business to meet environmental goals.
