Bolton School students join Cowgill Holloway’s ‘Future Stars’ programme

Luke Cavanaugh and Priya Guhathakurta from Bolton School’s sixth form have been selected to join Cowgill Holloway’s ‘Future Stars’ programme.
The initiative – now in its second year – will see the two students get a preview into the world of business and finance, by working at the firm through a series of week-long placements.
In total, Luke and Priya will spend four weeks working at the firm, spread across the school year. The two successful applicants visited the Bolton-based accountants to firstly, get a feel for the business and on a second trip for an interview.
The successful applicants join staff at Cowgill Holloway to experience a range of the firm’s departments, including; audit, tax, business recovery, wealth management and corporate finance.
Speaking on the ‘Future Stars’ programme. Luke said: “I’m delighted to have passed the interview stage and have the chance to join Cowgill Holloway for the placement. It’s something I was very keen to do to ensure I had relevant work experience on my CV.”
Rob Lord, Partner at Cowgill Holloway said; “Our ‘Future Stars’ programme provides students with the chance to both observe, and work, on real projects within all departments across the firm – to give them a more rounded work experience. Because of this rounded opportunity, it’s perfect for those considering a career in accountancy and finance.
“We were very impressed with the work from both students from last year’s programme, Mehranguiz and Nat, they set the bar high for Luke and Priya this year.”
