He has worked in all areas of corporate finance providing a range of advice to businesses in the £2m to £100m turnover range.
Commenting on his appointment, John says: “The role is a fantastic opportunity to be a driving force in Cowgill Holloway’s expanding corporate finance activities. The firm’s presence in Merseyside has shown incredible growth in the last three years and I am delighted to be an integral part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to expand its offering in this region. I’m really looking forward to working with the team, as well as further exploring the opportunities that this incredibly vibrant region has to offer.”
Ian Johnson, Head of Corporate Finance at Cowgill Holloway, adds: “We are saddened by Mark’s departure. We wish him every success in his new role and thank him for his commitment to the practice over the last two and a half years. We are extremely pleased to welcome John to the team. He has a very impressive level of experience and expertise that will be of great benefit to our clients as we continue to move forward with our Liverpool office growth programme.
Prior to joining Cowgill Holloway, John trained and qualified at PKF, he then spent time in the Corporate Finance department of Brabners Chaffe Street Solicitors before spending three years in industry.
John’s appointment coincides with firm relocating from The Plaza to new office space at Yorkshire House on Chapel Street in Liverpool centre. The move forms part of the practice strategy to drive growth and expansion across the Merseyside region, John will be based out of the new Liverpool office.
Also joining the corporate finance team is James Hindle, a Manager who will work alongside Corporate Finance Partner, Paul Stringer in the Manchester office. James joins from Beever & Struthers where he spent nine years, five of which were spent in the corporate finance team.
