To cope with growing demand for its corporate recovery and insolvency services, the Manchester office of accountancy firm, Cowgill Holloway, has appointed Jason Elliott as business recovery partner.
With current market conditions meaning that companies in a variety of sectors and industries are struggling, the business recovery team at Cowgill Holloway has recently been inundated with business advice and review enquiries, as well as experiencing a steady number of liquidation and administration appointments.
Jason joins from insolvency specialist, Tomlinsons, where he spent five years as an associate, working on restructurings and turnarounds. Prior to that, he worked at Baker Tilly for four years as a manager in the restructuring and recovery team.
Commenting on his new role at Cowgill Holloway, Jason said: “The opportunity to work for a firm with the strong reputation of Cowgill Holloway and to be actively involved in the growing of an already expanding business recovery department was impossible to pass up. I look forward to adding my experience to the team and assisting in the turnaround of businesses across the North West.”
At Cowgill Holloway, Jason will work alongside Gary Bell, who heads the firm’s business recovery team. Gary added: “Jason’s experience in working in partnership with accountants will complement my own work with funders and introducers. His technical expertise is impressive and Jason also brings a different calibre of contacts, making his appointment a highly valuable addition to the team.”
