Cowgill Holloway expands NW team

January 2009

Accountancy firm, Cowgill Holloway, has grown its team with the appointments of senior audit manager, Ruth Logan, and senior manager, Emma Dolphin, to further the firm’s presence in the North West.

Ruth and Emma bring a wealth of experience to the firm. Ruth has joined from Deloitte in Manchester with over eight years experience of working in their audit team and Emma has over twenty years experience as an audit manager having worked on a varied client base from sole traders to large corporates.

Paul Stansfield, managing partner of Cowgill Holloway, said: “Although many firms have restricted their recruitment drive, Cowgill Holloway is committed to building the firm’s talent so that we can better service our clients in the region.”

The appointments at Cowgill Holloway follow a number of awards for the firm.  Most recently, Alex Hesketh an Audit Senior received the region’s highest marks in the Manchester Chartered Accountants Students’ Society in his taxation professional exam.

Additionally, Cowgill Holloway, which is currently ranked by Hemscott as one of the top ten advisers in the North West, swept the Lancashire Dealmakers to pick up a trio of awards. The firm picked up accolades for corporate finance advisory team of the year and deal of the year for its role in structuring the sale of specialist plant and equipment hire business, Garic Limited, to Bibby Holdings.  The firm’s head of corporate finance, Ian Johnson, was also named dealmaker of the year, rounding off the firm’s hat trick at the awards.
