Chris Harrington, Partner with Cowgill Holloway FMG, will run the Virgin London Marathon 2013 to raise funds for the NSPCC a nominated charity of the firm.
Chris, who has never before competed in any long distance race, will be joining over 35,000 fellow runners on Sunday 21 April.
Chris said; “I’m delighted to be taking on the challenge of running the Virgin London Marathon for the NSPCC. It’s a phenomenal charity, and is known all over the country. I hope by running the marathon that the monies raised will go some way towards the Bolton & Bury Business Board’s target of raising £1m by 2016.”
The NSPCC Bolton & Bury Business Board was formed in late 2011, tasked with raising money to support the ChildLine Schools Service.
The board’s ambitious target is to raise £1 million over five years through developing corporate adoptions, organising corporate events and raising awareness through members’ business networks. Chris’ efforts will hopefully go some way towards hitting the target.
