North West leading independent accountants and business advisers, Cowgill Holloway, is to provide local business owners with expert advice on the complex, and often risky issue of selling businesses, during an in-depth seminar to be held in June.
The seminar titled ‘Maximising Shareholder Wealth on Exit’ will include informative presentations from Cowgill Holloway’s partners, in the corporate finance, tax and wealth management divisions. Paul Stringer, Meera Parmar and Chris Harrington, will look at the main issues to be aware of and how to maximise the value of a business when exiting.
Tips and advice will be given on how to get a business in shape prior to sale, how to deal with and understand the tax and accounting implications involved, as well as an expert overview on how to manage your wealth following the sale of the business.
There will also be an opportunity for a question and answer session to allow attendees the chance to gain more specific information.
Cowgill Holloway’s corporate finance partner, Paul Stringer, is optimistic about the event. He said: “You can only sell or pass on your business once – it is too important an issue not to prepare for. You cannot begin to think about it too early. We have developed this seminar for business owners to give them a practical insight into what needs to be done in evolving and implementing a strategy for exit or succession.”
The event will take place on Wednesday 22 June at the Holiday Inn Haydock, M6 J23, from 8am for breakfast, with a view to commencing the seminar at 8.30am and concluding at 10.00am.
