Cowgill Holloway Open for Business in Manchester

Bolton accountancy firm, Cowgill Holloway, has strengthened its regional professional services offering with the opening of a Manchester office on Peter Street.

The firm, which specialises in providing accountancy and business advice to owner-managed businesses in the North West, held the launch of its new office at Manchester’s landmark Hilton Hotel and featured speeches by Peter Cowgill and Sam Allardyce.

Four key partners have moved to the Manchester office. Corporate finance partners, Ian Johnson and Paul Stringer, tax partner, Meera Parmar and business recovery partner, Gary Bell have relocated their teams to the new premises.

Notable deals in last year’s final quarter include the lead advisory work for TT Games on the sale of the business to Warners Bros. Home Entertainment Group and advising upon the buyout of The Fragrance Shop and Per-Scent.

Ian Johnson, head of corporate finance said: “Cowgill Holloway has experienced fantastic growth in 2007, so having a Manchester presence is something that we all felt was important to further increase our corporate finance deals activity”.

Senior partner, Peter Cowgill added: “The firm has relocated established and well-respected teams into Manchester, which is certain to enhance our offering across the North West. There is a great deal of optimism throughout the firm in terms of what lies ahead and we are confident that our growth will continue well during 2008.”
