Cowgills advise Harley Academy on securing private equity investment

Cowgills deal advisory team has successfully advised London-based Harley Academy on a transaction with Rockpool Investments.

Harley Academy is the UK’s leading provider of higher education in aesthetic medicine, improving patient safety through training and raising educational standards for the most widely requested non-surgical cosmetic procedures; injectables and cosmetic dermatology treatments.

The funding was secured via Rockpool Investments, a London-based Private Equity organisation known for financing high-growth businesses.

James Kennedy, deal advisory partner at Cowgills, who led on the transaction said: “We are incredibly pleased to have secured this investment for Harley. The business is well positioned as the first Ofqual regulated course provider with a new market leading facility to proactively embrace the government announced changes in the Licensing Scheme which will regulate medical aesthetics, both the premises and the education standards of the practitioner. We wish the fantastic management team at Harley Academy all the success as they build on this exciting new chapter with Rockpool Investments.”

He continued: “Cowgills has an extensive successful track record in the healthcare M&A market with a number of deals completing at the end of last year and more in the pipeline, and we’re pleased to add Harley to that list.”

This strategic investment represents a crucial turning point for Harley Academy, empowering the company to accelerate its growth, expand its educational offerings, and solidify its position as a leader in aesthetic medicine education.

Dr. Tristan Mehta, Founder and CEO of Harley Academy, said: “I am excited to announce this £8 million investment from Rockpool Investments, a testament to the hard work from our team over the years. This partnership will enable us to accelerate our mission of providing exceptional education and training, ultimately driving up standards and patient safety.”

Ben Hutchinson, Investment Director at Rockpool Investments added: “We are thrilled to partner with Harley Academy as it continues to set new standards in aesthetic medicine education. This investment reflects our confidence in Harley Academy’s vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence.”
