Cowgills advises Manchester based Versori on strategic sale to Avalara

Leading north west accountancy and business advisory firm, Cowgills, has advised Versori, an AI-powered data integration platform, on its sale to Avalara, Inc., the agentic tax and compliance leader.

Manchester-based Versori provides advanced technology that uses artificial intelligence to build and manage integrations between software applications, helping organisations accelerate digital transformation. The business has been sold to Avalara, who has developed one of the most expansive libraries of tax content and integrations in the industry, supporting over 200,000 direct and indirect customers across more than 75 countries.

The transaction marks a significant milestone for Versori, supporting its long-term growth strategy and enabling the organisation to accelerate innovation, enhance connectivity across its platform, and expand its global reach.

Cowgills provided strategic financial advice throughout the sale process, helping to secure a strong deal for Versori’s shareholders and positioning the business for continued success as part of Avalara.

James Kennedy, Deal Advisory Partner at Cowgills, commented: “We are proud to have supported Versori in achieving this exciting outcome. Versori’s cutting-edge AI integration capability in the enterprise software and integration platform as a service (iPaaS) market supported by Avalara’s multinational enterprise customer base creates substantial opportunities. This transaction highlights the strength of UK technology businesses in the international market, and we congratulate the Versori team on reaching this key milestone.”

Sean Brown, Founder and CEO of Versori said: “Joining forces with Avalara represents an exciting new chapter for Versori. Avalara’s global scale and shared commitment to innovation make them the ideal partner to accelerate our technology roadmap and expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”
