Cowgills advises Scorpion Group on Trackershop acquisition

Cowgills has advised Scorpion Group on its acquisition of Trackershop, further strengthening its market leading position in vehicle security and telematics.

The deal follows Cowgills’ successful support of Scorpion Group in February 2025 on the acquisition of Trackerteam, marking another strategic step in the Group’s growth journey.

Headquartered in Chorley, Scorpion Group has been providing vehicle security solutions and is a trusted partner to leading global manufacturers including BMW, Subaru and Yamaha. The Group operates internationally, with offices across Europe and North America, including Italy and Canada.

Trackershop is a well-established UK-based provider of vehicle tracking products and services, with a strong reputation for customer service and technical expertise. The acquisition enhances Scorpion Group’s product offering and strengthens its position in the rapidly evolving vehicle security sector.

Andrew Jeffrey, Chief Executive Officer of Scorpion Group, said: “The acquisition of Trackershop is a natural progression for Scorpion Group as we continue to invest in businesses that complement our expertise and enhance the value we deliver to customers. Trackershop is a respected brand led by a talented team, and we are excited for the opportunities this creates for the Group.”

James Kennedy, Partner at Cowgills, who led on the deal, commented: “We are delighted to have supported Scorpion Group on this latest acquisition, building on our work together earlier last year. This transaction demonstrates Scorpion’s clear growth strategy and ambition within the vehicle security market. It has been a pleasure working closely with the Scorpion team to help deliver another successful outcome.”

Mark Carse, Founder of Trackershop, said: “Building Trackershop has been a huge part of my life, and I’m proud of the strong brand and customer first approach we’ve created. The Scorpion Group is a natural home for the business, and I’m excited about what this combination will unlock for customers and the wider team. As I retire, I’m delighted that my sons, Deege and Shaun, will continue to support the business and help drive growth within the Scorpion Group.”

Deege and Shaun Carse added: “We’re looking forward to working closely with the Scorpion team to build on Trackershop’s success and help accelerate the next stage of growth. Scorpion’s experience and scale will allow us to enhance our offer, strengthen our capabilities and continue delivering the service Trackershop is known for.”

Cowgills acted as lead adviser to Scorpion Group on the transaction, providing corporate finance and strategic support throughout the acquisition process.
