Cowgills expands across Liverpool and Manchester
Business advisory and accountancy firm Cowgills has announced that it is opening new offices at two of the region’s most prestigious workspace locations in Liverpool and Manchester to support its rapidly growing team.
While the company’s head office will remain in Bolton, the twenty-eight strong Manchester team is moving to the award-nominated, Annex on Quay Street, taking 3,700 sq ft of space on the first floor. The move from the neighbouring ABC comes after the team doubled in size in just two years with further recruitment across corporate finance, tax and audit planned in the coming months. Cowgills was advised by OBI.
In Liverpool, Cowgills has taken 1,400 sq ft on the second floor of Bruntwood’s Grade II listed Cotton Exchange, at the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, having rapidly outgrown its existing space. Since opening on Chapel Street in 2021 with a team of just four business recovery specialists, Cowgills Liverpool presence now numbers eighteen employees across all disciplines including business recovery, tax and audit and accounts.
Commenting on the investment into new offices in both cities managing partner Paul Stringer said: “Investing in first-class facilities for our people and clients is a clear indication of our continued commitment to the region. The north west is where Cowgills originated almost 40 years ago and our roots remain firmly here in the place where our clients are predominantly based.
“Having superb facilities for our people is essential, not just for their health and wellbeing, but to ensure that we continue to recruit and retain the very best talent. With offices in these key northern cities we are able to provide a full service to clients regardless of where they are based across Lancashire, Manchester and Merseyside.”
In Manchester, the Grade A workspace has been designed to ensure a boutique finish specification and includes custom-designed booth seating, a stunning indoor garden feature and state of the art multi-functional audio-visual presentation and video conferencing. The team will move into the space in January. Cotton Exchange features a private roof garden and event space, bike storage, showers and changing facilities. The Liverpool team move into the new space this month.
Today Cowgills has 230 employees with 19 partners and continues to attract the region’s brightest talent with its compelling offer of exceptional benefits, flexibility, and professional opportunity.
