Cowgill Holloway has announced two new appointments to support the growth of its North West Corporate Finance Team.
Paul Horrocks and Lucy Hawksworth join the team as Corporate Finance Executive and Research Analyst, respectively.
The new recruits will enhance the existing Corporate Finance team that specialises in business acquisitions and sales, business valuations, management buy-outs and buy-ins, due diligence and fundraising exercises.
Ian Johnson, Head of Corporate Finance said: “The continued growth of the corporate finance team consolidates Cowgill Holloway’s strength in this area and illustrates our desire to expand our offering to existing and prospective clients. These strategic appointments come at a time when, despite the many uncertainties we see in the economy, we remain positive about the long term prospects. We therefore believe the time is right to further invest in the talent that will help drive our business forward.”
Paul, a qualified solicitor, brings with him over two years corporate finance experience with Zeus Capital where he has assisted on MBOs and MBIs, as well as PLC transactions. He has solid experience in preparing information memoranda, pitch documents and financial models to source debt and equity funding and is well accustomed to the various business sales processes. In addition, he previously had over two years legal practice experience with Linklaters and SJ Berwin.
Prior to joining Cowgill Holloway Lucy spent two years with Keoghs Solicitors as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Her previous experience has been with a variety of both public and private sector businesses.
Paul Horrocks comments: “Having worked on the equity side of deals, I relish the opportunity to work on transactions from the accountant’s perspective. I am particularly looking forward to bringing a legal mind-set to a traditionally accountancy driven area. Cowgill Holloway is a rapidly growing firm with an established reputation among North West businesses. I look forward to using my experience to assist the firm’s corporate finance clients in making the right financial decisions for their businesses going forward.”
Lucy Hawksworth said: “The opportunity to join the successful and fast growing corporate finance team was far too good to miss and I am delighted to be on board. I am impressed by Cowgill Holloway’s forward thinking and open culture, which places a strong focus on the client and getting the deal done by delivering first class solutions. As a result we continue to grow our business and I am pleased to be part of a truly integrated financial proposition.”
