We’ve had several new faces join the Cowgill Holloway team as we continue to invest in local, young talent with the recruitment of five people across the firm.
Adam Flynn, Sam France, Robert Benson-May, Sophie Corless and Umar Sidat join the firm’s graduate programme, pursuing careers across Audit and Business Recovery.
These appointments bolster Cowgill Holloway’s continued initiative to develop young talent, and follows on from the firm’s Future Stars programme launched in 2015 in partnership with Bolton School.
The recruits join a range of departments across the firm – Adam Flynn, who had previously spent time at the firm during his work experience, joins the Business Recovery team after completing his A-levels at Bolton School – choosing to pursue a career in accounting and finance without going to University.
Sam France, Robert Benson-May, Sophie Corless and Umar Sidat all joined the Audit and Advisory department, and are continuing their studies by undertaking their professional exams.
Speaking about his appointment, University of Nottingham Graduate, Robert said: “I have a background in accounting – both my dad and brother are accountants – therefore I knew what I was getting myself into.
“I wanted to join a firm where I would have exposure to a range of clients, and the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of services – because Cowgill Holloway had this diversity and opportunity, it appealed to me more than one of the big four.
“I’m really enjoying working in the audit team, and whilst studying and working can be difficult at times, I’m learning a lot of very applicable skills and know that it’s certainly going to be worth it.”
Caroline Snape, Director at Cowgill Holloway commented on the appointments: “It’s great to be able to really invest in the young talent of the region. We’ve been very impressed with them all – they’ve got great energy and commitment to their roles.
“We believe that we have a good set of young professionals whom we look forward to seeing grow and succeed at the firm. We are continuously on the lookout for bright and enthusiastic individuals, who are keen to work hard and progress through the firm. We encourage anyone looking to start a career in accounting or finance to get in touch to discuss the possible opportunities at the firm.”
