Educare worked in local authorities across England and Wales providing high quality residential care and education services to children and adolescents with complex needs. Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and special educational needs.
The business has a turnover of approximately £10m, employs over 300 staff and currently runs twenty-one homes and four day schools
About the deal
Our corporate finance team worked closely with the exiting shareholders of Educare for four years prior to the selling of the business to Horizon Care. This enabled them to drive the business’s performance and prepare the business for sale.
Our extensive research identified a potential buyer in Horizon Care. This transaction further reinforces our presence in the healthcare sector in which we continue to be very active.
