Gilbraith, in operation for over 100 years offer a wide range of logistic solutions and in addition to its fleet vehicles, has the capability to handle traditional rail freight. Gilbraith is a well-respected business both in the Lancashire regional and also the logistics sector.
About the deal
Our corporate finance team advised the shareholders of Gilbraith who were looking to retire. We undertook extensive research in the sector to identify the correct strategic buyer as ‘the fit’ was very important to the exiting shareholders. Pollock (Scotrans) ticked all of the boxes and also proved a fantastic acquisition opportunity to enhance their own growth and UK presence. We led the negotiations and achieved the necessary sale price and terms required by the vendors.
