It is not just about us telling you where you should invest, it is about getting to know you, your appetite for risk so we can put together a plan that aligned to your goals and objectives.
Your investments, our solutions
We understand that investments can be complicated but we aim to take some of that complication out of the process for you. We work with you to put together a plan that is right for you and which is designed around your short, medium and long term goals, with a key part of this being to determine your appetite for investment risk. Once we have done this, we can then marry it together with your financial goals to determine a suitable investment solution.
Our investment approach
Our strength lies in helping you to build and manage your wealth plan. We feel that the day to day investment decisions are best made by professional investment managers and so, we select the ones who we feel would be best placed to manage your funds.
Our Investment Committee, which meets on a regular basis have the task of reviewing and selecting which investment managers are the most appropriate for our clients. The committee will monitor and benchmark each investment manager and the portfolios they manage to ensure that they remain fit for purpose.
As a firm we believe asset allocation is critical to the achievement of consistent and long term positive performance, and so our selection of investment managers includes detailed analysis of their approach to asset allocation. The Investment Committee will analyse the structure of an investment fund to understand the carefully selected blend of equities, bonds, property, cash and alternative assets to create a client portfolio in keeping with an agree level of risk tolerance.
Your money is in safe hands
We realise that one size does not fit all and that some clients want to have lots of involvement in the decision making process, whilst others want to leave that to us. As such, each recommendation that we make is bespoke to the individual client and we ensure that each client is comfortable with the level of interaction that they have.
For those clients who want to have more input into their investments or asset allocations, we can advise you but the final decision on any activity of your portfolio is yours. Alternatively, clients might opt for us to make recommendations and this would involve us selecting what we believe to be the most appropriate investment solution for you. This will include the appointment of an investment manager who has the ability to react quickly to changing economic or market conditions that might affect your portfolio. They have access to high levels of investment research and can provide access to a greater diversity of investment options.
It is important to be aware that we have a rigorous analysis process when making recommendations. Our recommendations only include organisations that we believe hold a shared vision of putting the client at the centre of their activities, hold a mutual understanding of our client’s objectives and goals and will work with us to deliver positive results for you. We ensure your money is in safe hands.
Range of platforms
Clients often raise the issue that in diversifying their monies widely, this involves using lots of different providers and receiving lots of different statements and valuations throughout the year, making it difficult to keep abreast of exactly how their monies are performing.
We make use of investment platforms to remove this problem, with each platform providing access to a wide range of investment managers and fund options. This means that clients can have their monies diversified widely but with the platform acting as a hub, pulling all the numbers together into a single valuation statement across each of the tax wrappers that a client holds.
This makes it far more straightforward for clients to be able to see what their portfolio is worth, where the monies are invested and how they are performing.
There are many platforms available within the market and we undertake a regular review process to ensure that those we use for clients and stable, well costed and provide a wide range of investment choice.
